The Everything Must Go Trilogy

On this Thanksgiving we attempt to be thankful for all of the things in our lives.

Right before we get rid of them.

No, this isn't one of this creepy and extremely privileged YouTube minimalist videos from a wealthy twenty something who is tired of having so much stuff. This is about a man dealing with the trauma of destroyed Nintendo Switch cases and the trilogy of films that got him through it.

This is just another month of TRILOGY IN THEORY.

Hearts Beat Loud (2018)

The ever cantankerous persona of Ron Swanson is only somewhat to be found in the Nick Offerman starring HEARTS BEAT LOUD... sooooo we try our best to fill that void.

But this film is so darn likable.

Forgive us for this corny episode and then promptly go to hell for agreeing that it's corny. Like rate and review! This is TRILOGY IN THEORY.

Everything Must Go (2010)

Who knew that a mostly ignored Will Ferrell dramedy from 2010 would unite your two favorite podcast hosts even further in their bromance?

Not the filmmakers of EVERYTHING MUST GO but I'm sure they will take this as praise.

In fact they would probably gladly accept a podcast (even this one) a decade later trying to share the surprising amount of joy that this film contains. As long as that joy remains in earbuds and not in the front lawn. Because your hosts have a lot of Criterions. And they have learned no lessons from this month's TRILOGY IN THEORY!

Ghost World (2001)

Listen with great intrigue as two middle-aged men try to understand the whims of teenage girls but do not despair... for these characters come from a comic book! And thus your hosts have a SLIM chance of understanding the motivations of Enid and Rebecca in GHOST WORLD.

We are old and we are tired... but we haven't boarded that bus out of town just yet. For this and many other things we apologize to our listeners.
